Welcome

Welcome!

We are honored to have a few moments to introduce you to The Paris Church of God and the wonderful people who call it their church home.

Maybe you are new to the Christian faith,or perhaps you have been following God as long as you can remember. More than likely, you find yourself somewhere in between. That’s okay because wherever you are on your spiritual quest, we are ready to help you discover new territories in your faith journey.

When you come to our church, you’ll find a place you can feel at home … a place where you feel warmly welcomed ... a place to be yourself and relax...a place you can begin to enjoy all that God has for you.

    Dear Church family and friends,

The times in which we are living are described by Apostle Paul in his writings to young Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:1. “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.” We understand that perilous is defined as difficult and dangerous. We also understand Scripture to declare that: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Having said that, we are taking the necessary precautions to do our part in keeping our church community safe.  We are doing our due diligence to keep all door handles, light switches, flat surfaces sanitized and disinfected, along with providing sanitation stations in high traffic areas.  For those of you who are attending, we request that you practice social distancing, which simply means, keep 6 feet apart from others.

Furthermore, we are pursuing the “stay-at-home” procedure. If we have to close church; we will provide life streaming during regular service times.  Also, we are assigning leadership to stay in contact with our constituents to keep connectivity and pastoral care current with your needs. For those needing assistance picking up groceries or medicines; we have members who are willing to run those errands for you and bring them to you.

We are setting up a system that will enable us to send out mass texts and emails from the church to apprise you of the latest news for services, closings and any additional life streaming times.  We will do our best to stay connected with each of you.

Finally, I want to remind you that we have ongoing operational expenses.  Therefore, it will be necessary for those not in attendance to pay tithes and offerings online at www.pariscog.com

Please be in prayer for our church family, our community, our nation and our global community as we pass through these unchartered waters.

    Blessings,

    Pastor Doug Holt
